Their rivals were laughing and fans giving up, with some burning and throwing their Chiefs jerseys, scarfs and caps into the bin and others crossing over to the Buccaneer camp. Empty seats in the stadium increased the shame, no longer filled with gold and black all over. The Phefeni Glamour boys who have suffered traumatic humiliation 4 times in a row surprisingly put a smile on half of SA last night when they knocked the Brazilians down  2-0  at Soccer city.

The Soweto giants showed determination and hunger for the 3 points in the first half when Sthembiso Ngcobo scored the first goal which made them lead by 1-0. Mamelodi Sundowns  tried to fight back but Chiefs said “No we are done with donating points” as Siphiwe Tshabalala scored an amazing goal at the same position and pace as the one he scored for Bafana Bafana when they were playing against Mexico during the 2010 soccer world cup which led to Chiefs to win the game by 2-0.

Yesterday’s victory made the Buccaneers even more happier than Chiefs as they maintained a spot on top of the log table with Sundowns  now 3 points behind them and Chiefs sitting on the sixth position. Can Chiefs  still turn the tables after yesterday’s fire or they gave Buccaneers an opportunity to win the league as they are 9 points behind? We will see!
