Biography

Early life and career beginnings

Nsikelelo Christian Ndlovu was born in Mandeni, in KZN and grew up in this township in a household of six members including both parents.  After completing his matric, he then went to UNISA to enroll for BA Communication Science Studies in Durban. He lived and study in Durban for two years but with an inevitable passion of Art (Music and Acting), Nsikelelo decided get the transferrin from Durban Campus moving to Johannesburg UNISA Campus early in 2008 to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional Musician. He met up with two guys who were working in the studio he used to visit and that eventually turned them into a kwaito group called Amabhungu. Mashayabhuqe KaMamba then dropped out of University to focus on the music career. They’ve toured the country and performed alongside the legendary Steve Kekana and Babsy Mlangeni to name the few.

Mashayabhuqe has gone solo since late 2010 and found his feet in Hip Hop music with an African or traditional feel. He raps in vernac using his mother tongue isiZulu language to construct his verses most of the time, writes and sings which is no sheer doubt his music skill was the hook in landing him a feature on Shugasmakx’s remake song titled Loving Home which also features Maxhoba, Maraza and Kwesta. He performed this song with all of these acts on YOTV, SABC1. Mashayabhuqe has also made appearances on a popular talk show called Shift on SABC1 and an educational show Matrics Uploaded, SABC1. He’s written stuff for lots of up and coming Kwaito and Maskandi artists.

Visions and Goals

Mashayabhuqe is an entrepreneur at heart as he sees himself running a multi-million Clothing label including a personal design sneaker range in future. He’s biggest goal is to become the music icon and help other young talents from the township or underprivileged background kids to chase their dreams and even make it easier for the next generations to become what they want in life. He thinks the world can be changed by anyone with a goal and a passion for what they’re doing as long as is right and effective. He’s gunning for great heights and willing to change the face of music in South Africa, with a style of music he’s doing that almost reach out to half of the nation. Mashayabhuqe KaMamba still wants to enlighten himself in the business side of music and be able to go back and further his studies.
