What is really going on with Nonhle Thema? I know she’s probably seeking attention but to other people’s detriment? That’s just wrong. At first it was a bit humorous with the whole “SIT DOWN” saga but now it seems things have just blown out of proportion. I won’t indulge in all the dirty details of what exactly Nonhle was spitting out at rapper Sean Pages and what rapper Morale Veritaz had to say about it, (just check out their respective Twitter timelines).
However I am led to believe that Sean Pages said something in general which Nonhle took offence to and started hurling insults at Sean who didn’t really dignify her with answers. He did give her some attention by exposing her sexcapades with some of our local rappers. Anyways, the things she said really played on my mind. Where does she get off insulting someone’s mother like her tweet (and I quote), “Do u know your dad since your mom was a HOE. And was also raped ha ha ha.” (sic) In another tweet she goes on to say, “DO you even know who your father is…SEAN…damm mom was a jump off .. ha ha B*&^h” I mean I’m in total shock. Is this the kind of rolemodel people should be looking to? I’m worried about the moral fibre of this society if she is.
First of all she’s a woman. She has a mother, a well respected one at that. She might also be a mother one day. How would it make her feel if someone trashed her mom on a social network? I wonder. Secondly she makes humour of rape. Seriously with our statistics being one of the highest in the world (mindboggling), there is just no condoning that. She doesn’t know what might happen to her tonight. Who will feel sorry for her if she (God forbid) gets raped? I’m led to believe that she must have momentarily lost all sense of sanity at that moment.
The funny thing is she was dead silent when Sean Pages cousin and friend Morale stepped in and started revealing intimate things that passed between the two of them like “U used to be the pinnacle now u downright despicable. I regret shagging you.” The funny thing is she denied knowing him but he tweeted their bbm conversations as proof. SMH! Although I don’t condone his behaviour either he did seem to make her shut up and SIT DOWN. As much as it’s not their fault if Nonhle goes on a tantrum I think Soul magazine must be walking with a tail between their legs after all this.
It’s such a shame that Nonhle can just say these things without being held accountable. Where will all this lead to? I don’t even believe her when she says her account was hacked that’s how much I’ve lost hope in her. I wonder if her ‘smurfs’ even recognize this psycho behaviour or they are being blinded by their “god”. Do you think she’s telling the truth?
